Trips in the car pose the perfect opportunity for great conversation...

Scarlett telling us all about it. She then re-inserts her paci as if to say, "that is all for now." haha!

Uncle Chaz makes it to the ATLANTIC!!!!

We are SO proud of Chaz. He rode his bike across our great country and did not miss a single mile! What you did is incredible Chaz, you are the man.... but I know you would say, "It was not me..." So, THANK YOU LORD, for taking Chaz on that amazing journey.

Because Chaz left soon after Scarlett was born, he was really missing her and wishing he could be there for the precious weeks as she was changing so quickly. So, he sent her a precious postcard (that I know she will cherish forever) and talked about how badly he wanted a picture of the two of them together once he made it to the Atlantic. Something they could always look back on and say, "remember when..." So, here it is:

IT WAS SOOOOO HOT!!!!!

And here we are, Chaz's adoring fans... minus Mama and Daddy. Did I mention it was HOT???

Victory, sweet victory.

You did it... for those you may never even know. Well done. We are so proud.

Way to go guys, way to go!

Daddy-Daughter pool date

I know, I am totally out of control with the bathing suits... ha!! This one was a gift from my parents' sweet friends Jim and Jenny Headlee. It is so darling. How about those sunglasses? We decided against them for Scarlett's date with daddy.

We thought a ball cap would be a little more appropriate. Daddy loved it.

Mitch was a little worried the water was too cold... he had me check it and it felt like bath water. He is so funny!

Checking it out.

Then all the sudden they were in the deep end.

That was a fun date, I loved being a "fly on the wall" for it.

Moonlit walk at the Lighthouse

A shooting star over my love!

I wish my camera could have captured how beautiful the night was.
(I probably just don't know how to use it!)

The Lighthouse is really neat. The OBX were founded in 1668 (I think that is right), but it was not until 1924 that they placed this Lighthouse at the tip of the island to guide ships into the Sound. It is very nostalgic.

The moon looked so beautiful on the water... wish this would have turned out more clear.

Scarlett's 1st swim!

We arrived in Corolla, North Carolina yesterday afternoon and are loving it! This place is so neat! I will have to post pictures of the house we are in, it is so pretty. So, as soon as we got here we settled in and hit the pool for Scarlett's first swim. She was adorable! We had to document it right, so there are a ton of pictures! We will be meeting Chaz in Yorktown on Friday, but until then...Here is to a fun week!

Look at this bathing beauty! I LOVE her swimsuit. I found it at Honeybeez... my favorite children's boutique.
Getting ready to go. I did not even realize it until we were all suited up, but Scarlett and I's suits almost match.

Testing out the temp. It is a black, gunite (sp?) pool, so it stays warm all the time because of the sun. It felt so nice.

Feeling good...

I think Scarlett was thinking, "I could get used to this!"

Pepaw took her for a ride in her race-car. He is the best!

Mitch... the best Daddy ever, I love that man!!!!!

Nonnie dried Scarlett off and warmed her up after her swim.

Swimming was a hit!

Thanks to Aunt Ryan for being our photographer. xoxo

Uncle Chaz...in KENTUCKY!

The Fijis Across America came through Elizabethtown, Kentucky on July 4th weekend so we had to see him!!! Uncle Chaz that is! So, my mom, Scarlett and I packed up and headed south. We loved watching the guys cycle in as they have traveled hundreds of miles. I know I have said it before, but they are AMAZING! We are SOOOO excited to meet them at Yorktown, Virginia in just a few days.

There they are...

Oh, we love you Uncle Chaz. This is just the 3rd time Chaz has gotten to hold Scarlett. He has been on the road since right after she was born. And would you look at that beard! HA!! He reminds me of Forest Gump when he ran across America!
