Over the weekend we had 2 fun "events." First, on Friday we got a special visit from Scarlett's Lolli. Lolli has lots of little ones to care for at her house, so it is not often that we get just her to ourselves! She helped us 'welcome fall' as she brought Scarlett a pumpkin, a pumpkin puppy, The Pumkin Patch Parable and a darling new outfit! We enjoyed a stroll through the new children's garden at the Arboretum and lunch at Chick-Fil-A (where else!) together.
On Saturday I got to spend time with 2 of my best friends (Beth and KT) and my mentor from college, Mrs. McKinley. Beth is expecting a baby girl in November. This precious baby is long-awaited and we have been praying for her for a very long time! Her name is McKinley Elizabeth named after our amazing mentor Mrs. Martha McKinley. Her name was revealed at the shower in a moment of pure joy and surprise for Mrs. McKinley. I just love it! It was so fun to get to celebrate with Beth and her husband Josh. I cannot finish this post without saying a HUGE thanks to Mitch (aka super daddy!) who stayed with Scarlett all day while I traveled and celebrated with friends. They had a very fun daddy/daughter day :)
