Happy 4th of July!

We do not take the celebration of our great country lightly today. We are so blessed to live in the USA where our roots have always been deeply set in God our Creator. No matter what, we must remain a country that truly is one nation under God!

Mitch and I especially think about his brother Matt today. Matt is currently serving a tour of duty with the US Army in Iraq. Our prayers are with Matt. We think of Sarah and Matthew as they celebrate with pride today and live out the sacrifice that so many American families before them have. We love you guys!

Here is our little yankee doodle sweetheart before church yesterday.
We have been having a tough time figuring out the best service to attend for Scarlett's nap schedule. She gets tired right before the 10:30 am service, but did not want anything to do with the nursery at 9:00 am last week! Just a little "mommy issue" to sort out!

Oh, and may I introduce Ellie.... Ellie was my cabbage patch baby growing up. I carried her everywhere. She even endured a few "surgeries" by me. I love that Scarlett loves her too! Although, she prefers to carry her minus her baby doll clothes?! Maybe its just a phase.
